Engine Health Monitoring and Electronic Ground Support Equipment Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering team within Mature Defence, supporting the development of advanced Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) capabilities alongside the design and delivery of Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). This role offers the opportunity to work across the product lifecycle, from concept development and system integration through to verification, testing and in-service support. You'll collaborate with specialists across systems, electronics, software and mechanical engineering to develop solutions that improve product performance, reliability and maintainability. Within the Life Cycle Engineering capability, engineers within this team are responsible for leading and integrating the development of end-to-end EHM systems and services, either on-platform or ground-based systems, to help our customers maintain a safe and reliable operation. What you will be doing

• Lead the design and development of EHM System and Electronic Ground Support Equipment solutions., to meet project and customer requirements.
• Work with the Lifecyle Engineering capability level to align with suitable technology strategies which are appliable (hardware / software / analytics).
• Ensure proposed solutions adequately address and are consistent with all requirements, including appropriate standards. Lead appropriate reviews to satisfy Business, Customer and Technical demands.
• Prepare and deliver technical communications (e.g. presentation and/or reports)
• Identify requirements for new Engine Health Monitoring and Electronic Ground Support equipment.
In addition, you will contribute to developing support strategies around business, product, customer and industrial relationships; co-ordinate packages of work within a budget and represent the company.


• Educated to degree level in a STEM subject and/ or have experience in a relevant engineering environment. Other qualifications, in combination with relevant experience, may also be considered.
• EHM Systems design experience is desirable but not essential.
• Experience and appreciation of the design lifecycle development from requirements capture to implementation with an ability to deliver against commitments.
• Perform a range of work packages including design, validation and verification using a range of methods and tools, accompanied by high-quality technical documentation
• Apply systems engineering principles to develop solutions to complex multi-disciplinary problems encompassing mechanical, electronics and software.
• Knowledge of systems engineering, project management principals, and functional aspects of engine performance and deterioration would be advantageous.
• Collaborate across a diverse range of engineering disciplines to ensure system integration and architecture align with project needs.
