Engagement Coordinator

rewarding role will see you acting as a key ambassador for the service, building strong relationships within local communities, increasing awareness of the support available, and encouraging individuals to take positive steps towards improving their health and wellbeing.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about community engagement and making a meaningful difference in people's lives.Key Responsibilities· Represent LiveWell Dorset at our Weymouth hub and throughout the local community, promoting the service and increasing awareness.· Deliver health interventions, including blood pressure checks, and provide tailored advice and support to encourage healthier lifestyle choices.· Engage with individuals and groups both face-to-face and virtually, delivering presentations and workshops to charities, community organisations, and underrepresented groups.· Work collaboratively with the Training and Engagement Team to support the delivery of strategic objectives and

engagement initiatives.· Support the delivery of NHS Health Checks, with full training provided.· Maintain accurate records, reports, and administrative processes using a range of IT systems.Requirements: GCSEs (Grade A-C / 4-9) in English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications. Strong literacy, numeracy, and IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications and databases. Previous experience in health promotion, community engagement, or providing one-to-one support. A proven ability to influence positive change within community settings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage a wide range of audiences. Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage competing demands effectively. A Level 2 Understanding Health Improvement qualification (or equivalent).Additional Information Working hours will be scheduled between Tuesday and Saturday. Full-time hours are 37 per week, although 18.5 hours per week
will be considered for part-time applicants.
