Energy Analyst

The Opportunity We're looking for an analytical and commercially minded Energy Analyst to join our team. You'll play a key role in forecasting energy costs, analysing customer consumption, supporting pricing activity, and producing market insights that help drive informed commercial decisions. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll ensure accurate reporting and provide valuable expertise in a fast-paced energy market.

What exactly will you do?Produce best in class forecasting of industry costs for NGP customers such as Transmission, Distribution, FiT, RO, EMR and BSUoS, making up around 60% of a customer's bill.Speak with customers to explain their bill or potential customers to explain our forecast in non-commodity costs.Develop and lead key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally to ensure costs are well understood and communicated to the business.Responsible for production of a certain set of cost forecasts, which include Network and Policy costs.Constructing the price comparison of supplier offers.You will input non-commodity cost forecasts for our customers which are generated through our onlineplatform.Monitoring customers energy hedge position reports and transacted trades conducted by the traders.
What we're looking forSeveral years' experience in the energy industry, ideally in commercial roles.Well developed Excel and Microsoft Office skills and interest in new technologies.Experience of senior stakeholder management growing, being highly regarded around the business.Strong reputation developed with stakeholders at all levels of the organisationExperience with cost comparisons.Understanding of flexible products and weighted average price.Experience with non-commodity forecasts.Creating models from scratch.Self starter with ability to work independently, able to scope and drive their own and more junior colleagues work.
