Endoscopy Technician

The Endoscopy and Treatment Unit an exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time permanent Endoscopy Technicians to join our busy unit.

We operate a 6 day week service, 8am to 6:30pm.

Whilst experience in working in the Endoscopy Unit would be desirable it is not essential as full training in all aspects of the job will be given.

The successful candidates will be expected to work in all areas of the department including the ward area admitting and caring for patients undergoing and recovering from endoscopic procedures. Working within the procedure rooms assisting the endoscopist and nurse and in the decontamination department processing endoscopes.

The candidate will be expected to participate in the 24 hour on call system., To work under the supervision of senior nurses and with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide the physical and emotional care for both inpatients and outpatients undergoing a variety of endoscopic medical and surgical procedures on the department.

We welcome applications from Graduate visa holders; it is important to note that you must have a minimum of 6 months before this expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons., Please be aware that this post requires an Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check with barred lists, the cost of which is payable by the successful candidate. If you have lived or worked abroad for 6 months or more in the last 5 years you will need to obtain an overseas police clearance.
