Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Medicine Division at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust. We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic Service Manager for our Endoscopy Department. The role will provide operational support to our three fast paced, dynamic Endoscopy Units based at the Royal Derby Hospital, Queens Hospital Burton and Sir Robert Peel, Tamworth.,
- Monitoring national performance targets, such as waiting times and cancer pathway standards, and implementing action plans.
- Line managing administrative or clinical teams, including recruitment, training, appraisal, and developing a supportive environment.
- Ensuring service compliance with JAG (Joint Advisory Group) standards, including clinical audits, incident reporting, and patient experience reviews.
- Reviewing capacity, demand, and patient feedback to identify areas for service improvement and development.
The successful candidate will be expected to build close working relationships with our clinicians and administrative teams, requiring excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to service improvement.
