Full Job Description
Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.
The Endoscopy Scheduler role is an exciting opportunity to join our administration team in the Endoscopy Unit which aims to provides first class administration and reception services to the Division.
As part of our Patient Pathway team, you will be responsible tracking patients through their care pathways, organising patient appointments and processing clinical correspondence in a timely manner. You will act as a key point of support to the Clinical Nurse Endoscopists and Consultants through assisting with administrative tasks., The Endoscopy Scheduler works as part of the Endoscopy Outpatient team under the supervision of the Endoscopy Team Leader, and is responsible for:- Co-ordinating and taking responsibility for the patient pathways within theirdesignated sub-specialty areas and adhering to RTT, 2WW Cancer targets.- Co-ordinating the day case and inpatient admissions within the Endoscopy Unit.- Providing a primary point of contact between the multi-disciplinary team and their colleagues, patients, and relatives.- Acting as a source of advice and support for troubleshooting non-routinematters or resolving initial complaints.- Supporting the clinical and administrative teams to provide a positive patientexperience.- Supporting and providing cross cover for all administrative areas across the Division when required so that all areas are sufficiently staffed to provide a consistently high level of patient satisfaction.
