Full Job Description

We are looking to recruit 4 endoscopy healthcare assistants to join our dynamic and skilled team working in endoscopy. It is desirable that applicants have previous acute hospital setting experience, however full training will be given if necessary.

We are looking for a good team player, who has a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Our endoscopy unit consists of 4 rooms . The procedures carried out are varied and include Gastroscopy, Colonoscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, PEG insertion, Endoscopic stenting and Bronchoscopy for outpatients and inpatients (when required). The unit also provides recovery facilities.

The successful candidate will be required to work 4 days a week which could include evenings and weekends.

Informal visits are welcomed., 1. Demonstrated the ability to identify personal sphere of competence proactively seeking supervision to develop competence as required from senior/ more experienced colleagues.
2. Works to ensure the completion of the Band 3 Developmental Passport for HCA's.
3. Works in partnership with manager to develop and deliver on Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time framed (SMART) objectives at annual appraisal and personal development planning meeting.
