Full Job Description
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic proven PQE employment lawyer with a focus on "Fair Pay" which covers National Minimum Wage and Holiday Pay compliance. You can also work across the employment law practice on other types of work but will have a focus in this area. You will:
- Help us to market and grow our National Minimum Wage and Holiday Pay offering, working in conjunction with employment tax, reward and payroll colleagues across the Business.
- Enjoy a varied case load providing employment law advice to large multinational companies and public sector bodies with a large number of employees.
- Help to build the brand of Deloitte's employment law capability both within the UK and wider international Deloitte firm and in the market.
- Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where our people are recognised for their contributions.
- Have direct client contact.
- Assist directors and partners with their cases, as well as running your own projects under supervision. The role will develop in accordance with your own skills, aptitude and preferences and according to the needs of clients and Deloitte.
- Ideally, we are looking for someone with proven Post Qualification Experience as a solicitor specialising in employment law with the benefit of training and development in a leading, well respected law firm or the government legal department.
- Experience of dealing with large employers and with multinational companies.
- Good knowledge and experience of advising in National Minimum Wage and Holiday Pay. Knowledge and experience of advising public sector clients would be a bonus.
- Strong analytical ability and clear communication style (both written and spoken).
- Ideally, we would like someone who is literate in the use of technology and data analytics to deliver client projects in this area, although we can provide training on this.
- Good organizational skills and experience in project management.
- Commercial approach to client service.
- Strong business development and marketing skills.
- Willing to work collaboratively as part of the team.
