Full Job Description

This post is full time and fixed term, working 35 hours per week. The Zone29 Community Intern supports the Zone29 Community Officer in the day-to-day operation of the new Zone29 building and works with colleagues across the University to coordinate careers-related activities and events, ensuring the building fulfils its purpose of connecting students with industry. The role involves supporting room bookings, responding to enquiries, maintaining digital communications, assisting with reporting and administration, and helping to ensure the smooth delivery of events, activities, tours and external bookings. The post holder will assist visitors, event hosts and stakeholders, helping to create a positive experience for all users while ensuring Zone29 remains an organised, vibrant and inclusive community hub. The role includes supporting the promotion of Zone29, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners, and assisting with operational matters to ensure the effective running of the space. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organisational ability, and a proactive, adaptable approach to problem-solving. They will be able to work both independently and collaboratively, building positive relationships with colleagues, students, employers and external partners.
