Full Job Description
Citi's Client Management Team is looking to hire a VP-level professional to support both the EMEA Markets Senior Relationship Manager team and the broader Client Management agenda. Reporting to the Chief of Staff and Client Strategy Head for UK, Europe and MEA Markets Sales, this individual will be part of the Client Management team - contributing to its full range of strategic activities - while also dedicating a significant portion of their focus to supporting the execution of agreed priorities alongside a team of Senior MD Relationship Managers. Citi's Senior Relationship Managers work with Citi senior management and Markets product coverage teams to ensure that Citi is delivering best-in-class products and services to our most important clients. This role is designed to be a genuine career-broadening opportunity: the individual will gain exposure across the full EMEA Senior RM Platinum clients book, deep insight into client strategy and revenue dynamics, and direct involvement in senior-level decision-making. This is a role with real strategic influence, client-facing responsibilities, and senior visibility for the right candidate. Primary Responsibilities
- Provide strategic support to the Senior RM team - translating strategy into day-to-day delivery, tracking progress against agreed actions, and ensuring the RM team is focused, accountable, and aligned to Markets Sales objectives in a structured manner.
- Lead and coordinate broker review processes in partnership with Senior RMs - including preparation, data gathering, feedback capture and dissemination, and follow-up action tracking - engaging directly with clients and counterparties where appropriate and representing the team in a commercially credible manner.
- Coordinate and prepare materials for client account reviews, senior management briefings, Give & Get analyses, and major client and RM-led initiatives - including wallet analysis, revenue and returns assessments, and performance benchmarking - producing output to a consistently high standard and in a standardised format across the full RM client book.
- Maintain and update client connectivity tracking, action item logs, briefing materials, and contacts mapping for RM'd Platinum clients, ensuring all outputs follow the team's standardised approach and reflect a single, unified view across all Senior RMs served.
- Contribute to the full range of Client Management team activities, including driving strategic projects to develop the client franchise and sales organisation, opportunity evaluation for new and target markets and clients, evolution of client coverage models, performance metrics design, strategic data analysis, business reviews, and the definition and execution of key strategic priorities across the EMEA Markets franchise.
Experience working in or closely alongside Markets, with genuine interest in client coverage, relationship management dynamics, and EMEA client segments; a background in sales, client strategy, sales support, management consulting, business development, or the front office is strongly preferred. - A commercial profile with client-facing experience as an advantage - ideally including direct involvement in broker reviews, client meetings, or reverse counterparty processes - with the confidence and professionalism to represent the team externally to a senior client audience.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to work with client wallet data, revenue and returns metrics, inputs - deriving meaningful conclusions and translating complex data into clear, actionable output for senior audiences.
- Strong organisational capability and a structured approach to execution - comfortable managing multiple parallel workstreams, tracking complex action items across a senior team, and delivering to consistent deadlines without losing accuracy or quality.
- Strategic mindset and personal impact, with demonstrated experience supporting senior stakeholders, taking ownership through to execution, and building credibility through gravitas, clear communication, and consistent delivery.
- Technical proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint as a baseline; experience in process automation or data analysis via coding (e.g., VBA or Python), Tableau, or other data tools is a significant advantage; familiarity with AI-enabled workflows is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional maturity - this role requires the ability to work alongside and hold accountable a senior team of Managing Directors, balancing collaborative partnership with structured, firm follow-through on agreed commitments.
- Degree educated (BA, B.Com, or B.Sc. minimum; MBA is a plus), combined with a strong work ethic - organised, proactive, and highly motivated, comfortable in a fast-paced environment and bringing the intellectual curiosity, tenacity, and resilience required to thrive in a complex, multi-stakeholder setting.
