Electrophysiology Clinical Fellow in Cardiology

An echo fellow is dedicated to the EP service, providing support for CRT pre-assessment and optimization, and TOE for ablation procedures as necessary. A team of three full time arrhythmia clinical nurse specialists coordinate admissions, provide support for patients, and conduct nurse led clinics in King's, in the community, and by telephone for follow ups. A fourth clinical nurse specialist coordinates the CRT service and device research protocols and a fifth is shared between the cardioversion and chest pain services., The fellow will be expected to undertake his/her own projects in electrophysiology during the tenure of the post and there is a comprehensive database and computer/library facilities to assist in this regard.

Much of the week will be spent in the catheter lab and the fellow will also undertake high volume electrophysiology and pacing work. The successful candidate will do one/two outpatient clinics per week, concentrating on arrhythmia patients. The post is ideally suited to a trainee who is fully competent basic electrophysiology and device implantation.
