Job Title: Electronic Trader - Metals Job Code: 1241434 Skill Band: Front Office Location: London Type: Permanent Date Posted: 27 Jan 2025 Electronic Trader - Metals About the Job The purpose of the job is to trade and risk manage the electronic flows of the Metals Desk. Initial focus will be on Precious Metals with future oversight of the design and management of Base Metals. The job entails maintaining and then increasing positive commercial results from the bank's e-commerce business while also meeting clients' liquidity requirements. The position will work with the other Metals traders to maximize overall efficiency and revenues, as well as with the Sales team in order to both identify new and satisfy existing clients. What you'll be doing
- Work as part of the Metals Trading Team to manage the electronic pricing liquidity, analyze data and manage risk.
- Improve pricing and risk management performance by developing and monitoring electronic rules-based systems for revenue maximization at the customer level.
- Carry out detailed analysis on this client flow to ensure pricing is reflective of the quality of the flow.
- Work with Sales to develop new customer management and behavioral analysis tools in order to provide feedback on customer activity and maximize revenue. What you'll need to be successful
- Extensive e-business technical skills and expertise.
- Understanding of PRA/FCA rules and regulations as they relate to e-pricing.
- Understanding of trading risks and control.
- Prior experience with the support functions at a bank.
- Programming skills a benefit.

- Methodical execution of processes.
- Able to handle pressure/conflict.
