Full Job Description
We are looking to recruit and train enthusiastic healthcare and administrative professionals with a keen interest in digital healthcare to join our Electronic Health Record (EHR) team. Successful candidates will join an experienced and diverse team of analysts supporting UCLH's Epic EHR and our wider digital partnerships. Patients are at the centre of everything we do. Epic helps us deliver safer, more efficient and patient-centred care by giving staff and patients access to the right information, in the right place, at the right time. Our team also supports the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) and will play an important role in future Epic Connect partnerships. We have vacancies within the following teams:
- Outpatients, Interoperability and Research
- Inpatients, ED, Theatres and Maternit If you have a particular area of interest & have any questions, please contact the relevant deputy delivery manager:
- Byron Lau, EHR Deputy Delivery Manager for Outpatients, Interoperability and Research (byron.lau2@nhs.net)
- Susan Castilo, EHR Deputy Delivery Manager for Inpatients, ED, Theatres and Maternity (susan.castillo@nhs.net), We work closely with clinical, administrative & managerial staff, analysing their processes & helping them agree clinical best practice standards & workflows. We provide end-user support using specialist application knowledge through regular meetings & incident investigation & resolution. We have excellent relationships with departmental leads, super-users & subject matter experts. We have a rolling upgrade programme which delivers new features & functionality.
Applicants without an Epic certification will be required to sufficiently score on an Epic aptitude assessment (the Sphinx test) prior to interview. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of NHS inpatient services, ideally some experience in using and/or configuring EHRs, & have enthusiasm to improve services through digital technology. Post holders will need to spend at minimum one day on site per fortnight, depending on business need. This post would therefore be suitable for staff who are looking for hybrid opportunities.
