Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mains Services Team Lead to join our Technical Events Team. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role suited to a professional with an electrical bias, who thrives in a fast-paced, live-events environment. You will lead the installation, testing, and removal of temporary mains distribution services to support a broad range of major events and exhibitions. Working to demanding deadlines, you will take ownership of service delivery while ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and customer service. This role requires flexibility, strong leadership skills, and a positive, solutions-focused attitude., Event Delivery & Planning

  • Lead the installation, testing, and removal of temporary mains services for live events
  • Plan and organise work schedules to meet challenging event deadlines
  • Work collaboratively within the wider Technical Events Team to ensure seamless event preparation
  • Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Adhere to Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks
  • Promote safe working practices and maintain a safe working environment at all times
  • Administration & Reporting
  • Accurately document all tasks in line with managed services procedures
  • Maintain electronic and paper records using site-specific systems
  • Report on asset condition, identifying required upgrades and repairs
  • Financial & Resource Management
  • Manage consumable stores responsibly to prevent waste
  • Support efficient use of materials and resources
  • Customer & Professional Standards
  • Present a professional image at all times
  • Deliver excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders
  • Maintain and develop technical and professional skills through continuous learning
  • Additional Duties
  • Support other areas of the managed services contract when required
  • Undertake additional duties as requested by management

    NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Plumbing
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition
  • City & Guilds 2330 / 2360 Level 3 or equivalent
  • Awareness of other mechanical services such as compressed air and gas
  • Strong communication skills at all levels
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Forklift driving licence
