Electrical Manufacturing Engineer

As an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration, testing and verification of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring products meet the highest quality and performance standards before delivery to customers. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will diagnose issues, carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, and support continuous improvement activities throughout the manufacturing process.,

• Assemble, integrate and test semiconductor manufacturing modules and systems.
• Perform electrical commissioning and verification activities on live equipment.
• Conduct testing against engineering specifications and manufacturing procedures.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and fluid power faults.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and engineering documentation.
• Carry out cosmetic and functional quality inspections.
• Record test results and manufacturing data using electronic systems.
• Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency and throughput.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and product development teams.
• Support new product introduction and product development activities when required.
  
  This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with electrical, electromechanical or manufacturing experience who enjoys fault finding, testing, problem solving and working on highly sophisticated capital equipment., Experience in electrical manufacturing, test, commissioning, maintenance or systems integration.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills down to component level.
• Experience reading electrical schematics and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of three-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
• A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.
• Good IT skills and confidence using digital systems.
• The ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively., Essential:
• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent practical experience.
• Electrical engineering background.
Desirable:
• Experience with electromechanical systems.
• Cleanroom experience.
• Semiconductor industry experience.
• Exposure to pneumatics, fluid systems or industrial automation.
• Military engineering experience (Royal Navy, RAF, REME, Royal Signals, Royal Engineers or equivalent).

What You'll Do In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise. Our state-of-the-art Newport facility spans 237,000 square feet and includes advanced manufacturing areas, cleanrooms, R&D laboratories and customer collaboration spaces supporting technologies across advanced packaging, MEMS, photonics, RF and power device markets.

Shift Pattern Monday to Friday:
• Week 1: 6:00am to 2:00pm (Mon-Thurs) & 6:00am to 1:00pm (Fri)
• Week 2: 1:45pm to 10:00pm (Mon-Thurs) & 12:45pm to 6:15pm (Fri)
