Electrical Maintenance Craftsperson

An electrically bias maintenance craftsperson to work as part of the site based EstatesDepartment which operates and maintains a wide range of engineering systems across a range ofhealthcare premises.

• Completion of a recognised electrical apprenticeship
• Good knowledge of Estates maintenance
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Maintaining up to date knowledge on legislative development
• Good communication
• Good self motivation
• Good time management
• Strong timekeeping
• Ability to prioritise workloads
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Must be able to meet the mobility requirements of the post.
Experience Essential
• Full understanding of Electrical services and Electrical control systems
• Experience to an intermediate level of theoretical knowledge of electrical engineering programs
• Previous practical experience in electrical engineering installation service maintenance and repair in at least 4 of the following areas (E) o Laundry and catering equipment o Emergency generator plant o Fire alarms o Emergency lighting and UPS systems o Compressors o Portable electrical equipment o Experience of cross- trade working flexibility on mechanical o Large scale electrical distribution systems (1&3ph LV)
Desirable
• Estates experience within the healthcare sector
• Broad experience of all related Estates activities - multi skilling, Good standard of general education
• City & Guilds in an Electrical related subject
• 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations or most recent update
Desirable
• City and Guilds Certificate in Testing and Inspection of Electrical Installations (2391 or equivalent)
• Ordinary National Certificate
• Certificate in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
• BTEC, HNC/HND or Approved Apprenticeship or City and Guilds or equivalent qualifications in relevant topic.

• Please note this is only potential annual earnings, this has been determined by taking an average over the last 12months. The base salary for this role is £37,383.
