WE'RE HIRING - ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR

Birmingham £50,000 - £75,000 DOE Full-time | Permanent | Flexible working hours

Countrywide Electrical Services Ltd (CES) is looking for an Electrical Estimator to join our established team in Birmingham. We're not just looking for someone with a "Senior Estimator" job title. We'd be interested in hearing from experienced Electrical Estimators as well as people who have progressed into estimating from an electrical installation, design, tendering or junior estimating background and are ready for the next step in their career.

The role will involve:

• Preparing electrical estimates and tender submissions
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender information
• Carrying out take-offs and producing labour and material costs
• Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Identifying tender risks, exclusions and opportunities
• Supporting value engineering and design & build solutions
• Working closely with our Design, Commercial and Project teams
• Taking tenders from initial enquiry through to handover

We work across a varied portfolio of commercial, retail, self-storage, hospitality, industrial and high-end residential projects throughout the UK.

What we're looking for:

• Electrical estimating/tendering experience within a UK electrical or M&E environment
• Good understanding of electrical installations, drawings and specifications
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail
• Confident communication and organisational skills
• Someone looking to develop, progress and become an important part of our estimating team
• A practical electrical background is very welcome - if you've progressed from Electrician Estimating, we'd particularly like to hear from you.
