Electrical Apprentice

Using advanced metals chemistry, you'll help tackle the world's biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future. The role: As an Electrical Apprentice, you will help drive our goals by:

• Supporting the electrical maintenance team with planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Assisting with fault finding on electrical systems, motors, control panels and plant equipment
• Following safe systems of work, including electrical isolation and permit procedures
• Developing skills in electrical testing, inspection and control systems through supervised practice
• Completing apprenticeship coursework and maintaining an up-to-date development portfolio, Due to the nature of this role applicants must be non-smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months

• A minimum of four GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades A-C, including Maths, English and Science
• A genuine interest in electrical or practical engineering subjects
• Strong safety awareness and a responsible approach to working in an industrial environment
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others
• Attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
