EHS Specialist

Experteer Overview As EHS Specialist at Abcam, you will lead site-level Environment, Health & Safety performance within Operations in Cambridge. You'll manage and improve EHS systems, audit programs, and governance to ensure compliance and continuous improvement. You'll design and deliver risk-based training, coach site teams, and drive sustainable safety improvements. • Manage and enhance site EHS Management Systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement Plan, lead, and execute internal EHS audits and track corrective actions Lead EHS initiatives aligning with Danaher governance and corporate standards Identify risk-based training needs and develop/deliver training for lab and operations Coach teams to identify hazards, assess risk, and implement proportionate controls Tasks H&S qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH National Certificate or equivalent) hands-on experience supporting a laboratory-based organization expertise in Microsoft applications, especially Excel strong communication and collaboration across functions and levels risk-based decision making and independent planning in a fast-paced environment Key requirements
