EHCP Coordinator

About the role as a EHCP Coordinator:We are seeking a proactive, compassionate, and highly organised EHCP Coordinator to play a fundamental role during the first-year development of our brand new Vocational and Lifeskills Hub for Post-16 learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities in Wokingham.The EHCP Co-ordinator is responsible for managing EHCP processes within the hub, supporting young people with complex needs as they transition into adulthood, and works closely with local authority SEN teams, schools, and key stakeholders The role has a particular focus on consultations and annual reviews for learners with an EHCP. You will be part of the Lifeskills team that supports learners who face substantial barriers to learning.This is a part time (1 day per week), fixed term contract (until August 2027 with the potential to be extended) based within Wokingham and surrounding area.What do you need to be a successful EHCP Co-ordinator at Activate Learning?The successful

candidate will also be required to collaborate with colleagues, guardians and external partners to ensure that Activate Learning is providing a consistent, supportive approach to those with an EHCP and additional needs.You will have sound knowledge of learning difficulties and disabilities and experience of working with special educational needs.You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of coordinating and chairing meetings as well as completing administration tasks within set time frames to ensure we meet statutory regulation deadlines.About you:Level 3 qualification or equivalent in English Language, Sociology, Psychology, or similarClear understanding of the process when it comes to completing EHCP Annual ReviewsAwareness of the consultation process and our statutory responsibility.Specialist SEND qualification (preferable)Previous experience of working within an educational setting, particularly working with LLDD studentsEffective communication
