As part of this, we continue to invest in Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND), with the growth of our four sub teams within the EHCP Casework Team:Assessment TeamEarly Years and Primary TeamSecondary and Post 16 TeamTribunals, Resolutions and Compliance TeamDue to our continued investment in SEND, we are looking for experienced EOTAS EHCP Casework Officers to join our Secondary and Post-16 team.Reporting to the
Senior Officer, you will be responsiblefor all aspects of EHCP Casework, relating to Children and Young People and their families who are in receipt of an EOTAS package. You will be required to:Provide effective delivery of the statutory duties regarding EOTASBe the named person for a caseload of Children and Young People in receipt of an EOTAS package and act as the main point of contact for services and providers. Ensure that Annual Reviews are held within the 12-month statutory timeframe, facilitate and chair the Annual review meeting, on behalf of the Local Authority, and request and collect all relevant reports/assessments from professionals.Coordinate additional meetings required throughout the academic year to monitor progress and provisionMaintain accurate records of attendance and progress as reported by providers.Ensure that the Child and Young person's views are at the centre of any discussions regarding their education and aspirations.Link with the Local
Authority's commissioning team to ensure that safeguarding and quality assurance checks have been competed for external providers.Establish close links with the Local Authority's Direct Payments Team and support with audits of Personal BudgetsVisit Young People when attending their provisions where appropriateSupportChildren, Young People and families to consider next stepsManage, advise andsupportChildren, Young People and families when new EOTAS requests are requestedLink with the EHCP Casework Team's Tribunal, Resolution and Compliance Team and support with any appeals as requiredYou will take a lead responsibility for advising parents, schools, and providers, to ensure they understand SEND Legislation, and are able to meet to resolve any issues that arise.
