Full Job Description
Due to internal promotion, InspireU has an exciting opportunity for an EHCP Assistant to join our team, supporting young people, families and professionals across Lincolnshire.
Due to recent changes in immigration law in the UK we are unable to offer skilled worker visa sponsorship for this role as it does not meet the requirements.
About the Role
At InspireU, we support young people aged 16-24 with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to achieve positive outcomes in education, employment and adulthood.
As an EHCP Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the management and administration of Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes across the organisation. Working closely with the SENDCO, EHCP Co-ordinators and wider multi-disciplinary teams, you will help ensure that annual reviews and statutory processes are completed efficiently, accurately and within required timescales.
You will provide advice and information to young people, families, schools, professional agencies and Children's Services regarding InspireU's EHCP processes and provision. The role will involve attending a range of multi-agency meetings, producing detailed records of discussions and decisions, preparing review documentation and supporting the production of annual review reports.
This is a varied and rewarding role where attention to detail, strong communication skills and a commitment to improving outcomes for young people are essential.
At Lincolnshire County Council, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do. That's why we offer a rewarding package designed to support your work-life balance, health and wellbeing, financial security, and career growth. Find out more about our offer to you in the attached brochure.
InspireU operates across seven sites in Lincolnshire; flexibility to support at different locations may be required.
Occasional travel to meetings and partner organisations will be required.
Ongoing training and professional development opportunities will be provided.
A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
