We are a super friendly and supportive team of Educational Psychologists working in Derby City. We work closely and collaboratively with specialist teachers, advisors, education officers and early years practitioners to bring a psychological perspective to understanding children and young people, our communities and schools. We have a positive work culture and enjoy good relationships with other LA teams and schools and settings. We are delighted to be advertising for two new Senior Educational Psychologists to join our management team. We are increasing the number of Assistant Educational Psychologists within the service and we would love for you to join us to support our Assistant EPs and provide leadership and support for the service. As a service we are moving towards providing support to clusters of schools and will be part of the new experts at hand approach. If you join us now you can help to develop our new offer and support our EPs and Assistant EPs to deliver it. We are looking for innovative and experienced educational psychologists who enjoy multi-agency working. You would be expected to be able to carry out in-person visits to schools, homes and settings in Derby and also attend in-person meetings and training but some tasks lend themselves to home working and some meetings are online. If you prefer working from an office we have dedicated desks in the Council House. The Council House interior received a national award from the British Council for Offices and includes large welcoming public spaces, the council chamber, a café, bookable meeting rooms with video conferencing technology, kitchens, break-out areas and office space.
