Full Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic, experienced Educational Psychologists, however, we are also keen to receive applications from trainees due to qualify in September 2026 / 2027, who are committed to making a real difference for our children and young people, to enable us to deliver our vision and priorities., For this role, you will need an Honours degree in Psychology (or equivalent) recognised by the British Psychological Society, recognised postgraduate training and a qualification in Educational Psychology. You must also be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). However, in the case of year 2 and 3 trainee EPs, you will be expecting to have your registration confirmed following the successful completion of your recognised qualification in September 2026 / 2027., This post will require a DBS check. This role carries essential car user status. Applicants must be able to drive, have a driving licence and be a car owner, however for disabled applicants, reasonable adjustments will be made where required. An online search will be carried out for all shortlisted candidates. This appointment is also subject to a pre-employment medical check. This post is covered by the Fluency Duty, as outlined in the Code of Practice on the English language requirements for public sector workers.

Solihull Educational Psychology Service (SEPS), part of the integrated SEND 0-25 Service, is a friendly and highly supportive service where collaboration and peer supervision is truly valued. We will balance your needs with the needs of our service, enabling you to work flexibly from home, or in modern shared office spaces. You will also be provided with a laptop and mobile phone, to strengthen our culture of accessibility and support. We recognise the need to maintain our strong and supportive team relationships in an increasingly agile working environment by promoting regular quality supervision and shared team learning through regular team meetings and social events for those who wish to get involved. Solihull EPS also has close relationships with both local and national educational psychology training courses. We genuinely value purposeful CPD at all levels and the promotion of research in practice, demonstrated by our clear commitment to whole service CPD and protected personal CPD time.
