Educational Mental Health Practitioner (Qualified or in Training)

As an EMHP you will be joining a diverse team offering both clinical and non-clinical support to children, young people, and their families across Swindon.

You will deliver evidence-based assessments and interventions for children and young people in educational settings with mild to moderate mental health difficulties, under expert supervision and as part of a dynamic and evolving mental health support team.As an EMHP you will be joining a diverse team offering both clinical and non-clinical support to children, young people, and their families across Swindon.

You will work in partnership with school/college mental health leads by developing a Whole School and College Approach to mental health within your allocated schools., You will work in collaboration with other EMHPs, CWPs and mental health professionals, supervisors to deliver 1:1 interventions, groups, parent led interventions, work- shops and staff training.

To assess and deliver outcome focused, low intensity, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, working at all times in collaboration with and giving respect to the education function of the setting in which the post-holder is deployed.
