Full Job Description
The post offers an exciting opportunity to join the Education, Strategy and Transformation Directorate within Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW). The directorate is responsible for commissioning education and training for pre-registration healthcare professionals to enable them to enter the workforce. In addition, we support the development of professionals with post-registration education to ensure they are supported throughout their career., The post holders will be required to provide effective and efficient clerical and administrative support to the Education, Strategy and Transformation Directorate within HEIW. They must be able to prioritise their workload and manage competing demands and interruptions. The role will involve coordinating and implementing office procedures and will require a high level of organisational skills, alongside an excellent working knowledge of administrative systems. The post holder will be responsible for:
- Providing administrative support for meetings, including preparing and producing accurate minutes. Some travel may be required to support face-to-face meetings across Wales.
- Working collaboratively as part of a team and providing cross-cover during periods of absence.
- Managing and prioritising their own workload, using initiative where appropriate.
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
