About You:

At Abbeyfield School, our Teaching Assistants play a vital role in helping students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will have strong communication skills, a positive and resilient approach, and the ability to build effective relationships with students, families and colleagues. Whether you have previous experience in education or are keen to develop your skills further, you will be committed to making a meaningful difference to the lives of our students every day.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

• Supporting Young People: Experience of working with children or a willingness to undertake training to develop the skills and knowledge needed to support their learning and development effectively.
• Resilience and Professionalism: Ability to manage difficult and emotive situations with sensitivity, professionalism and a calm approach.
• Confidentiality and Trust: Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality, handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity at all times.
• Compassionate Support: Demonstrates caring, patience, energy, motivation, commitment and empathy, enabling positive relationships and meaningful support for students.
