Daily duties:
• Support students with Learning Difficulties, ADHD and Autism during lessons.
• Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to improve learning outcomes.
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual student needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and engagement using consistent behaviour management strategies.
• Support students with organisation, emotional regulation and classroom participation.
• Build positive relationships that promote confidence, independence and self-esteem.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to implement individual support plans.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
• Support students during breaktimes, enrichment activities and educational visits where required.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.
  
  Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker or within a similar support role.
• Experience supporting children or young people with Learning Difficulties, ADHD and Autism.
• A good understanding of a range of special educational needs and inclusive classroom practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, resilience and a positive, proactive attitude.
• The ability to build strong professional relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
• Confidence working within a busy mainstream secondary school.
• A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
• A willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Safeguarding requirements: This role involves regular, direct and unsupervised contact with children and young people and is classed as regulated activity relating to children. The successful candidate will be expected to uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, promote the welfare of all pupils, and follow all school safeguarding policies and procedures.
