Full Job Description
You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel supported and motivated to achieve their full potential.,
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching where required.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Support pupils with additional needs, working closely with the SENCO and support staff.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Uphold the school's behaviour policy and promote positive behaviour for learning.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the wider school community.
- Fulfil all professional responsibilities in line with the Teachers' Standards and ECT framework., This is a fantastic opportunity for an ECT to secure a long-term teaching position in a supportive Prestwich primary school, gaining valuable classroom experience while being supported as they begin their teaching career. - Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is due to gain QTS as an Early Career Teacher (ECT).
- Has completed, or is completing, a successful primary teaching placement.
- Has a strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
- Is enthusiastic and committed to developing their teaching practice.
- Has good classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Is passionate about supporting pupils to achieve their full potential.
- Works well as part of a team and is willing to learn from experienced colleagues.
- Has the right to work in the UK and is available full-time from September. Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience teaching in KS1 or KS2.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
- Strong subject knowledge in core subjects.
- Experience working within a primary school setting.
The role will run from September until the end of the academic year, with the successful candidate working school hours of 8:00am to 4:00pm. The successful ECT will be paid in line with the appropriate teaching pay scale.
