Education ⫽ SEN Teaching Assistant Jobs

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to secondary-aged pupils with a range of SEND.
• Help pupils access classroom learning, understand instructions and complete activities.
• Support pupils with needs including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties and learning difficulties.
• Adapt learning resources and break tasks down into manageable steps to encourage engagement and understanding.
• Promote independence, confidence and positive relationships with peers and staff.
• Support pupils with emotional regulation, organisation and maintaining focus during lessons.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the SEND team to implement individual learning strategies and support plans.
• Monitor progress and share observations with relevant school staff.
