Full Job Description

Perhaps you enjoy working in mainstream education but want to develop more specialist SEND experience. Or you've worked in a specialist setting and like the idea of supporting children within a broader mainstream school community., You'll be working with pupils who require consistent, individualised support to communicate, regulate, learn and participate successfully in school life. Using appropriate communication strategies
Helping pupils access learning at an appropriate level
Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Encouraging communication, interaction and social development
Developing independence wherever possible
Following EHCPs and individual support plans
Implementing agreed therapeutic and behaviour strategies
Sharing observations and progress with colleagues
Working alongside teachers, the SENCO, therapists and support staff
