Education ⫽ SEN Teaching Assistant Jobs

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with teachers and the wider school team to provide tailored support that enables pupils to thrive both academically and personally.

• Providing one-to-one support or working with small groups of up to six pupils
• Supporting teachers to deliver engaging and inclusive lessons
• Helping to prepare classrooms and learning resources
• Monitoring pupil progress and sharing observations with teaching staff
• Supervising pupils during breaktimes, educational visits, and extracurricular activities
• Supporting learning through targeted interventions and, where appropriate, assisting with marking
• Building positive, trusting relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and successful learning outcomes
  
  Has a strong standard of education, ideally educated to A-Level, with GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics
• Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar education support role
• Has experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within an educational setting
• Is confident managing behaviour positively and supporting pupils with additional needs
• Is willing to take on additional responsibilities, such as supporting Forest School activities, lunchtime provision, wellbeing initiatives, or other areas of school life
• Has good IT skills and a proactive, flexible approach
• Is committed to ongoing professional development and continuous learning
