Our client, a renowned educational institution in the heart of South Shields, Tyne & Wear, is seeking a talented and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. With a salary of £100 per day, this full-time role promises an exciting and rewarding challenge for the right individual. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial part in supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs and disabilities. Your role will involve working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. You will have the opportunity to utilize your expertise in SEND-specific strategies, techniques, and technologies to provide personalised support to students, helping them to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Your dedication and patience will be instrumental in fostering a positive and empowering learning experience for all.,

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to SEND students
  • Assist with the implementation of individualised education plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support
  • Facilitate learning activities and reinforce concepts to help students progress
  • Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the unique needs of SEND students
  • Monitor and record student progress, maintaining detailed records
  • Promote the inclusion and participation of SEND students in all aspects of school life

    Relevant experience working with SEND students in an educational setting
  • Strong understanding of SEND-specific teaching strategies and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting SEND students
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficient in using assistive technologies and digital resources
  • Qualification in Teaching Assistant, Learning Support, or a related field is desirable
