Education ⫽ SEN Teaching Assistant Jobs

We are working with a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Irlam seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support within their Early Years (EYFS) setting. This role focuses on supporting children with additional needs including autism (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays during the most crucial stage of their development.,

• Supporting children across the EYFS framework, with a strong focus on the prime areas of learning: Communication & Language, Personal, Social & Emotional Development (PSED), and Physical Development
• Delivering targeted SEN support through play-based learning and child-led activities
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis in line with EHCP targets
• Encouraging the Characteristics of Effective Learning (playing and exploring, active learning, creating and thinking critically)
• Using visual timetables, Now & Next boards, and sensory integration strategies to support engagement and routine
• Supporting speech and language development, including early phonics exposure where appropriate
• Creating a safe, stimulating and language-rich environment to promote independence and confidence
  
  Experience within EYFS and/or SEN settings
• Strong understanding of the EYFS statutory framework and early development milestones
• Experience supporting children with ASC and speech & language needs
• A nurturing, patient and proactive approach with a passion for early intervention
• Ability to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
