Full Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASD Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sale. This is a full-time position starting as soon as possible, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to access learning in a nurturing and structured environment.,
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASD
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support pupils' social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Experience working with children with ASD or additional needs (preferred) - A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
- Relevant qualifications or training in education/support work (desirable but not essential)
