Full Job Description
Our client, a leading provider of specialist educational support in the Ross on Wye area, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Part-time SEN Tutor to join their dynamic team. This role will involve working with students who have a range of special educational needs (SEN) in a supportive and nurturing environment. As a Part-time SEN Tutor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering personalised learning programmes that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your role will involve assessing individual learning styles, creating tailored lesson plans, and utilising a variety of teaching methodologies to ensure the students in your care make tangible progress. - Assess and identify the individual learning needs of each student
- Develop and implement personalised learning programmes that address the unique challenges faced by students with special educational needs
- Utilise a variety of teaching methodologies, including multi-sensory approaches, to ensure effective learning
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting lesson plans and teaching strategies as necessary
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and engagement
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of the latest SEN best practices
The successful candidate will hold a relevant teaching qualification, such as a degree in Education or a PGCE, and have a strong understanding of SEN best practices. Experience working with students who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, dyslexia, and ADHD, is highly desirable., Relevant teaching qualification, such as a degree in Education or a PGCE - Proven experience working with students who have a range of special educational needs, including autism, dyslexia, and ADHD
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, parents, and colleagues
