Full Job Description
A welcoming and supportive school in Oldham is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from September. The successful candidate will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil, helping them access learning and develop socially and emotionally throughout the school day. The role will involve working closely with the class teacher and wider school team to provide consistent, personalised support and build a positive relationship with the pupil.,
- Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil throughout the school day
- Supporting the pupil to access and engage with classroom learning
- Building a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
- Supporting social, emotional and communication development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping with emotional regulation
- Adapting activities and tasks to meet the pupil's individual needs
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider support team
- Promoting the pupil's independence, confidence and engagement What the school offers:

- Have experience working with children or young people
- Ideally have previous experience providing 1:1 support
- Have a calm, patient and nurturing approach
- Be confident building strong relationships with children
- Be proactive, reliable and adaptable
- Have full-time availability
- Hold a valid Child and Adult Workforce DBS or be willing to obtain one
- Relevant Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching & Learning qualifications are desirable
