A specialist primary school in Islington is searching for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join its welcoming team from September on a Full time, Term time only basis. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting children with Autism (ASD), Learning Disabilities (LD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and associated learning differences. Daily Duties
• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with Autism (ASD), Learning Disabilities (LD), ADHD, and other additional needs
• Deliver small group interventions to develop communication, social, emotional, and academic skills
• Support pupils in accessing the curriculum through personalised learning strategies
• Adapt classroom resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
• Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning
• Promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour using consistent strategies
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, therapists, and other professionals
• Support pupils during lessons, breaktimes, educational visits, and wider school activities
• Monitor, record, and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
• Build positive, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe, valued, and ready to learn
• Help create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive
