Full Job Description
We are seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Support Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Marsden from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and achieve their individual goals in a supportive and inclusive environment. The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and differentiated learning activities.
- Support pupils with communication, social, emotional, and academic development.
- Help create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage pupil independence and participation throughout the school day.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, therapists, and families to meet pupils' individual needs.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, wellbeing, and achievements.
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable. - A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, health and social care, or SEND are beneficial but not essential.
Competitive daily rate of £115 per day. - Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
