Full Job Description
Are you an experienced educator with a passion for supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Tutor to join a supportive educational setting from September. This is a full-time, long-term position running until the end of the academic year, offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of students who require additional support to succeed. The Role As an SEMH Tutor, you will work closely with students who may face barriers to learning due to social, emotional or mental health challenges. You will deliver tailored learning sessions, build positive relationships and help students develop both academically and personally. Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
- Supporting students to overcome barriers to education and learning
- Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement
- Monitoring and recording student progress
- Working collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external professionals
- Creating a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs - Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring or educational support experience
- Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
- A patient, resilient and adaptable approach
- A genuine commitment to helping young people achieve their full potential
Competitive daily pay of £102 - £115 per day - Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
