Full Job Description
TLSA is partnering with an outstanding Specialist School in Barnet that supports children and young people aged 4-19 with complex needs, Autism, Learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and medical needs. This full time, long term September position is ideal for an experienced SEND TA looking to make a meaningful difference within a highly supportive Specialist School environment. Daily Responsibilities
- Supporting students with complex Learning disabilities and Autism
- Assisting with personalised learning activities
- Supporting communication and sensory integration programmes
- Providing personal care support where required
- Assisting students with mobility and physical needs
- Implementing EHCP targets and support plans
- Supporting emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour strategies
- Working alongside therapists and healthcare professionals
- Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records
- Encouraging independence and life skills development
Previous SEND Teaching Assistant experience - Experience supporting pupils with complex needs and Learning disabilities
- Understanding of Autism and sensory needs
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate and resilient nature
- Ability to work flexibly within a Specialist School setting
September start - Full time and long term role
