Full Job Description

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a keen interest in supporting young learners? If so, our client, a forward-thinking organisation based in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear, is seeking a full-time Behaviour Support Worker to join their dynamic team.

In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for providing tailored support to students, helping them to overcome behavioural challenges and fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. With a competitive daily rate of £100, this is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work closely with our client's team of educators and counsellors to develop and implement individualised behaviour support plans. This may involve conducting one-on-one and small group sessions, using a variety of evidence-based strategies to address specific behavioural issues. You will also collaborate with parents and carers to ensure a consistent approach and promote positive outcomes for the students.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be required to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders, including teachers, social workers, and healthcare professionals. The ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations is also crucial, as you will be supporting students who may exhibit complex or disruptive behaviours.

In addition to your strong behavioural management expertise, you should possess a genuine enthusiasm for working with young people and a deep understanding of their unique needs and challenges. A relevant degree or professional qualification in a related field, such as psychology, education, or social work, would be highly advantageous.
