Education ⫽ SEN Leadership Jobs

As AP Lead, you will play a key role in the day-to-day leadership and development of the provision, supporting pupils who may have struggled to engage successfully within mainstream education. You will be responsible for:

• Leading high-quality teaching and learning across the provision
• Supporting the development and delivery of personalised learning programmes
• Providing strong leadership and guidance to staff
• Supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
• Managing behaviour through positive, relational and trauma-informed approaches
• Monitoring pupil progress, attendance and engagement
• Working closely with parents, carers, schools and external professionals
• Supporting safeguarding and pastoral provision
• Developing positive relationships with pupils and creating a safe, consistent environment
• Supporting reintegration and transition where appropriate
• Contributing to the continued development and growth of the AP setting
  
  This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or education professional with a strong background in SEND, SEMH or Alternative Provision who is looking for a role where they can have a genuine impact on the lives and education of young people., The successful candidate will ideally have:
• QTS/QTLS or relevant teaching qualification
• Experience working within Alternative Provision, SEND or SEMH
• Previous leadership or management experience within an education setting
• Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
• A calm, resilient and consistent approach
• Experience supporting pupils who have experienced barriers to mainstream education
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
• The ability to lead, motivate and support other members of staff

Educato Recruitment are working with a growing Alternative Provision in Rochdale who are looking to appoint an experienced and passionate AP Lead to join their team on a long-term basis.

This is initially offered on a long-term agency basis, with the opportunity to move onto a permanent contract through our 12-week temp-to-perm agreement. You will be joining a developing provision where you can have a real say in how the setting grows and make a meaningful difference to young people who need a different approach to education.
