Full Job Description
Alliance brings over 20 years experience delivering child-focused therapy and support in education and community settings, alongside more than a decade of involvement in CYP-APT. Our approach is grounded in the iThrive Framework, focusing on improving outcomes through evidence-based interventions aligned with the THRIVE principles described by Peter Fonagy. In addition to Mental Health Support Team (MHST) delivery, Alliance is the operational lead for a Tees Valley collaborative with Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys (TEWV) NHS Foundation Trust and VCS partners, providing Getting Advice, Signposting and Getting Help services. This needs-led pathway supports children and young people up to age 18 (or 25 with an EHCP) experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties, ensuring access to appropriate support across MHSTs and wider services, including Getting More Help and risk management. We work within a whole-system approach, fully aligned with Tees Valleys vision and local transformation
plans. Strong, trusted partnerships across education, health, social care and the VCS sector underpin our delivery, demonstrated through joint working, shared training and resources, and integrated huddles with CAMHS, ensuring children and young people receive the right support at the right time., You will be working within the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) providing early intervention and low-intensity mental health support to children and young people in education settings. The role involves working closely with schools, families, and partner agencies to promote emotional wellbeing, deliver evidence-based interventions, and support young people to access appropriate mental health support. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to a whole-school approach to mental health and help improve outcomes for children and young people.
You will work from various schools and locations across Stockton and Hartlepool where multiple venues may be visited each day. Access to a car is therefore essential for this post as some locations are not easily accessed via bus.
This is a great time to join Alliance, where our team is leading on the transformation of local children's mental health and wellbeing services.
Alliance offers first rate training and development opportunities, 38 days annual leave pro rata, rising 1 day every 5 years of service (as well as the option to purchase additional annual leave) EAP health scheme including costs towards eye tests/glasses, dental treatment, physio treatment and shopping discounts alongside a 3% contributory pension scheme. We also offer lots of health and wellbeing initiatives for our staff and promote flexible working for a positive work life balance.
