Full Job Description

You will have completed a CYPIAPT accredited programme and hold valid registration with the appropriate psychological professional body.
You will bring experience in delivering evidence based interventions for children, young people and families, along with the ability to assess need, manage risk and maintain high quality clinical records.Strong communication, resilience, and a commitment to safeguarding are essential, as is the confidence to work within busy education settings.
You will be organised, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships with school staff, external agencies and families. The role involves travel between education settings across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, so the ability to meet this requirement is important.

Join our Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) and play a vital part in improving the emotional wellbeing of children and young people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
As a Band 5 Educational Mental Health Practitioner you will deliver evidence based early interventions using a Low-Intensity CBT approach, supporting children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs in schools and colleges. Working closely with education staff, you will help develop whole school approaches to mental health and ensure children can access the right help at the right time.
