BerkshireHealthcareCAMHS are excited torecruitaqualifiedEducation Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP)towork as part of theMental Health Support Team forschoolsintheWokinghamarea.The MHST service ispart of an excitinginitiativefunded byThe Dept of Health, Health EducationEnglandand partners, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people inschool and thecommunity. This opportunity allows you to join anexisting innovativeservice during an exciting timeas the MHST provision is set to expand in the next few years, whilstworking alongside an enthusiastic,compassionateand inspiring team! You will work within our Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) inWokingham,delivering evidence-based interventions to children and young people aged up to 18, helping to shape emotionally healthy school environments and provide direct support to those who need it most. You will be co-located in schools across your locality, working collaboratively with education staff to promote a whole-school approach to emotional wellbeing and mental health. There isa focuson close links withotherCAMHSpathwaysto ensure a seamless approach to care forour CYPF. Thisrole offers an exciting opportunity to continue to innovate and deliver high quality evidence-based care andwhole systeminterventions, with great ongoing CPD opportunities.Main duties of the job 1. Deliver evidence-based intervention for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health problems. 1. As a qualifiedEMHPyou willbeconfident in the use of CYP IAPT principles, evidence-basedinterventionsand routine outcome measures. 1. Helpchildren and young people who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services; using effective multiagency collaborative working to effectively signpost and refer on whereappropriate. 1. Supportprofessionals in varioussettings(e.g. education, Early Help, Social Care etc.)toidentifyand whereappropriate manageissues related to mental health and wellbeing. 1. To care co-ordinate and manage a defined caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties in schools under supervision. 1. Todevelop andprovide training/workshopsfor professionals,parentsand carers, and CYPin conjunction with colleagues. 1. Actively promote thewholesystemapproach to developing andmaintainingemotional health and well-beingwithin and across services.
