Education Inclusion Development Officer

We are seeking candidates for the post of Education Inclusion Development Officer. This is an exceptional career opportunity to contribute to the education offer in Conwy and to contribute to the education inclusion support offer for schools in Conwy. This role of Education Inclusion Development Officer has been created in response to the increasing need to support young people experiencing attendance difficulties, school avoidance, or educational disengagement.

We are seeking an individual with expertise in working with children and young people with complex social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, as well as a strong understanding of safeguarding, attendance policies, and inclusion strategies. You will be a collaborative practitioner with extensive experience in education inclusion along with the linked experience in positive and inclusive ALN practice to support learners. You will be able to evidence how your inclusion work has improved outcomes for learners in education settings.

You will be supported by a supportive and talented inclusion team at the Authority. The remit will include the development of our inclusion offer. The Education Inclusion Development Officer will play a crucial role in supporting learner engagement in education to ensure that every young person has access to the education and support they need.

Salary: £52,761 - £57,297 per annum (Soulbury scale 8-11 +3 SPA)
