Full Job Description
The Faculty of Arts and Humanities are recruiting for up to three full-time Education Administrators (Taught Programmes) to support particular areas of our taught programmes portfolio (primarily UG but also including some PGT programmes). These positions are available from 1st September 2025. The postholders will provide specialist administration to designated taught degree programmes, ensuring effective procedures are adopted and documented for dealing with all aspects of programme administration. They will assist in achieving a high quality and timely service to current and prospective students and staff related to the designated taught degree programmes and beyond. They will also provide support for all matters relating to the teaching and learning activities of students, from enquiry to completion, including supporting committees and processes relating to assessment, student, and programme records. The post holder will be part of a wider Faculty Professional Services (PS) team, line managed through the Faculty. They will be expected to spend time physically located with the academic programme team(s) they are supporting, on a regular basis; this may involve travel to UCL East, where some of the Faculty's programmes are based. This will be discussed, agreed and periodically reviewed with the Line Manager. In the first instance we expect postholders to support programmes in our departments of and . NOTE: UCL is currently reorganising its EASE function. This may result in changes to some of the specific duties and responsibilities of this position and/or its reporting line(s). The post holder will be expected to implement change and support continuous improvement as this change process is undertaken, and on an ongoing basis after this.
- This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore UCL will not be able to sponsor individuals who require right to work in the UK to carry out this role.

The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent with experience of administrative work in a busy office environment. Applicants will be able to demonstrate good organisation skills, with an ability to prioritise and organise their own variable workload, and be able to use their good interpersonal skills to interact effectively and regularly with a wide range of staff and students. Clear written and verbal communication skills, combined with good computer skills and a working knowledge of the MS Office suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc), are also key requirements of the role. Experience of providing administrative support in a Higher Education (HE) setting, including the use of student records systems and virtual learning environments, are desirable.
