Full Job Description

At AO, we're all about making shopping for tech and appliances brilliantly simple. A big part of that is helping customers find the right product, quickly and confidently. As our Senior Ecommerce Executive, you'll help shape how customers discover products across AO.com. From search and navigation to category journeys, you'll use data, insight and experimentation to make finding the right product feel effortless. You'll naturally be curious and comfortable using data to uncover opportunities, solve problems and influence decisions that drive measurable results. Whether you're spotting opportunities, testing new ideas or improving the customer journey, you'll help deliver experiences that are better for our customers and better for the business. Working closely with Ecommerce, Product, Tech and Analytics teams, you'll play a key role in improving Discovery performance and helping shape what's next for AO.com. Our people are our superpower, and we're unstoppable when we're together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UKs most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when were together! Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Lead and continuously improve how customers discover, browse and choose products across AO.com, making it easier for them to find exactly what they're looking for.
  • Use data, customer insight, experimentation and commercial understanding to spot opportunities and prioritise improvements that make a real impact.
  • Stay curious about evolving customer behaviours, emerging technologies and industry trends, bringing fresh ideas that help shape the future of Discovery at AO
  • Design, run and evaluate A/B tests, using experimentation to learn what works best for our customers.
  • Turn complex data into clear, actionable insights that help shape decisions and drive performance.
  • Get to the bottom of customer behaviour by asking "why?", challenging assumptions and using evidence to guide recommendations.
  • Drive improvements that deliver better customer experiences while supporting AO's commercial goals.
  • Work closely with Ecommerce, Product, Tech, Analytics and Commercial teams to bring ideas to life and unlock new opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships across Ecommerce, Product, Tech, Analytics and Commercial teams, influencing decisions through insight, evidence and clear recommendations
  • Balance quick wins with longer-term innovation, helping shape the future of Discovery at AO.

You've got experience in Ecommerce, CRO, Optimisation, Personalisation, Product Discovery or a similar digital role, and know what good looks like when it comes to online customer experiences.
  • You're comfortable using data to spot opportunities, solve problems and make informed recommendations that drive results.
  • You've designed, delivered and measured A/B tests, and love using experimentation to learn, improve and optimise.
  • You're naturally curious and enjoy understanding what makes customers tick and how their behaviour impacts performance.
  • You can turn insight into action, using evidence to influence decisions and shape priorities.
  • You're a confident communicator who can build great relationships and bring stakeholders on the journey with you.
  • You balance customer needs with commercial goals and always look for opportunities to create value for both.
  • Most importantly, you're someone who loves learning, challenges the status quo and gets a buzz from making things better.

We're big on appliances and electricals, REALLY big. Washing machines, fridge freezers and TVs? They're our bread and butter. Mobiles, Airwraps and Ring doorbells? Yep, those too. If it plugs in, powers up or makes life easier, AO probably has it.
  • But we're more than that… For over 25 years, trust has been at the heart of everything we do, helping us become the UK's most trusted electrical retailer. Our customers rate us 4.9 on Trustpilot from nearly ONE MILLION reviews and more 5-star ratings than any other UK electrical retailer, because they know they can rely on us and it's the exact same for our AOers too. We truly believe it's more than just a job, we genuinely care about each other and our impact on making our customers lives easier, by helping them brilliantly. Everyone here knows how their role makes a difference. Our people are our superpower, so, when it comes to finding new AOers, we know it's about more than just a CV, it's about what makes you, YOU.

Our benefits are designed to cover the moments that matter to AOers. From health and wellness to giving back - you'll be rewarded inside and outside of work.
  • Holidays; 25 days, plus bank holidays (increasing to 27 days after 2 years with us!)
  • Pension; Contribute 5% of your annual salary and we'll do the same, giving you a little extra support for the future.
  • Be a VIP at the AO Arena; we have loads of opportunities to win free tickets and pre-sale access!
