Full Job Description

This is an opportunity to work as an Eating Disorders Practitioner, in a multi-disciplinary community team. The base will be negotiable, at one of 3 sites; Wirral & West Cheshire Community Eating Disorder Service, Stein Centre, St Catherine's Hospital Upton Lea, Bowmere Hospital, Countess Of Chester Health Park Jocelyn Solly House, macclesfield The post may include some hybrid working, but a significant amount of work will be expected to be at one of those 3 sites. The successful post-holder will work with people who live with moderate to severe Eating Disorders, delivering high quality talking interventions and co-ordinating individual's care. They will have a special responsibility and interest in clients with Binge Eating Disorder in particular, as this role has been primarily developed for that client group. However, there will be an opportunity to work with clients who suffer from other eating disorders.,

  • Working with people who live with moderate to severe eating disorders.
  • Taking a special interest in the treatment of Binge Eating Disorder and working with the service to further develop our offer to this client group.
  • Assessing people and delivering talking interventions, as well as identifying and managing complications arising from Disordered Eating.
  • Working as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure good quality care to people living with an eating disorder.
  • Liaising with other providers and stakeholders to ensure safe and effective treatment.
  • Delivering group work to clients with Binge Eating Disorder
  • Attending the Clinical Network Meeting and partaking in service development and clinical governance initiatives.
